A 12-4 run ending just after the midway point of the first half saw the Cardinal take a 21-11 lead after two from the line by Ogwumike.

Following a Dixon bucket, Jeannette Pohlen's three-pointer ignited a 15-6 run to end the half. Melanie Murphy put the exclamation point on the run with a long-distance make and it was 36-19 Stanford at the half.

Pohlen drilled three free throws to put the Cardinal up by 20 for the first time at 41-21 less than three minutes into the second half, and UCLA was powerless to mount a comeback.

The closest the Bruins got from there was 13 points, on a pair of Dixon free throws with 7;15 left in the contest.
